Farmers in this state earn good profits by cultivating this chilli. Now the number of lovers of this chilli has increased abroad. For this reason, the state government has emphasized on increasing exports.

4661 crore target set for Guntur Sanam Chilli
According to media reports, the Andhra Pradesh government will increase the export of Gutur Sanam chilli produced in the state by the year 2025. Its decision has been taken from the state government level. So far the annual export is Rs 3502 crore. Under the District Export Action Plan, it will increase to Rs 4,661 crore. Farmers will get its benefit. If exports increase, farmers will be able to get a good price for the produce of Guntur Sanam Chilli. A blueprint is also being prepared for this at the ground level.

Guntur will develop as export hub
According to the proposal, there is complete preparation to develop Guntur as an export hub. Officials of the District Industrial Center say that with the development of Guntur as an export, the possibilities of employment will increase here. Special vegetables of the state can be easily exported to foreign countries in large quantities. Due to this, the threat of the country and the state will be seen in foreign countries.

Target will increase by 10 percent every year
The Andhra Pradesh government has prepared a plan for the export of Guntur sanam chilli till the year 2025. As per the plan, the state government has also set an annual target for sending chillies abroad. The target for foreign exports will be increased by 10 percent every year. Year-wise, Guntur Sanam Chilli was exported worth Rs 3,502 crore in the year 2021-22. It was increased to Rs 3,852 crore in the year 2022-23. It has been fixed at Rs 4,237 crore in the year 2023-24 and Rs 4,661 crore by 2024-25.

Chilli is exported to 20 countries
Guntur Sanam Chilli of Andhra Pradesh is exported to more than 20 countries including China, Thailand, Bangladesh. Apart from this, chilli powder, seeds, oil and other materials are also sent to foreign countries. Guntur sanam chillies are pungent in taste, green, light red and thin in shape. It enhances both taste and aroma in food. Its paste, powder are commonly used.
