Beating Retreat Ceremony 2023: The celebrations of the 74th Republic Day of the country are not over yet. Every year on the occasion of Republic Day, Beating the Retreat ceremony is organized on the evening of 29 January. This year’s Republic Day celebrations will come to an end with the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony. In this ceremony the President Draupadi MurmuMany dignitaries including PM Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be involved.
This time the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony is going to be very special. Keeping in mind the Beating Retreat Ceremony, the police has issued a traffic advisory. The country’s biggest drone show will be organized in this ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony to be held at Delhi’s Vijay Chowk.
Biggest drone show organized
This year, 3,500 indigenous drones will be included in the drone show to be organized at the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony. It will be the biggest drone show in the history of the country. These drones will be shown innumerable forms of national symbols and events through seamless synergy. The success of the startup ecosystem will be showcased in this drone show. 29 tunes will be played in the ceremony
Apart from this, for the first time in Beating Retreat, 3D anamorphic projection will be organized on the façade of North and South Block. This program will make this ceremony even more special. According to the Ministry of Defence, 29 tunes will be played in the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony by the music bands of the three wings of the army and the state police and CAPFs. The ceremony will begin with Agniveer Dhun.

All the three armies will play enchanting tunes like ‘Almora’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Sangam Door’, ‘Satpura Ki Rani’, ‘Bhagirathi’, ‘Konkan Sundari’. The Ministry of Defense said, the Air Force bands will play ‘Unbeatable Arjun’, ‘Charkha’, ‘Vayu Shakti’, ‘Swadeshi’ tunes. At the same time, the naval band will play the tunes of ‘Ekla Chalo Re’, ‘Hum Ready Hain’ and ‘Jai Bharti’. The band of the Indian Army will play ‘Shankhnaad’, ‘Sher-e-Jawan’, ‘Bhupal’, ‘Agrani Bharat’, ‘Young India’, ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’, ‘Drummers Call’ and ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke’. The program will end with the tune of ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’.
These roads will remain closed
According to the advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, movement of traffic vehicles will be restricted at Vijay Chowk from 2 pm to 9.30 pm on Sunday (January 29). Along with this, it was further told in the advisory that going towards the duty path between Vijay Chowk and C Hexagon will also be prohibited. The traffic police have advised commuters to take Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madrasa T-Point, Lodi Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, Minto Road.
