Dhanpur Assembly Seat Winner: The results of Tripura assembly elections came on Thursday (02 February). In which the BJP alliance has once again won the majority and the government will be formed soon. At the same time, the Dhanpur assembly seat of the state is also being discussed. In fact, this seat was once known as a bastion of the Left, but now it has become saffron and BJP’s Pratima Bhowmik has won from here by more than 3500 votes.
In an interview to News18, he said, “I am from Dhanpur itself and I have seen that the communists did not do any development in this area. In the last five years, we have worked and shown it. Now people have understood how the double engine government works. He credited the development work in the area to the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi Giving said that this time the opposition tried everything but still the agenda of development won.
What did Bhowmik say on becoming the Chief Minister?
In this interview, he was asked that there is talk of your becoming the Chief Minister. In response to this, Bhowmick said, “The party has given me a lot. I became a Union Minister from a farmer’s daughter. If Modi is there then it is possible and that is why I am here. I am ready to do whatever the party asks me to do.”
Apart from this, he said, in the year 2018 also he had contested from Dhanpur, at that time this area was a stronghold of the Left, but this time people voted for us for development. On the other hand, on winning less seats in the state than last time, he said that the results have just come and we will definitely study it deeply.
Which party got what in Tripura?
In Tripura, a state with 60 assembly seats, the BJP alliance won 33 seats, of which 32 seats went to the BJP and one seat to the IPFT, while the CPIM won 11 and the Congress three. Apart from this, Pradyot Debbarma’s party Tipra Motha contested elections for the first time and won 13 seats. And there was 86.10 percent polling in the entire state.
