Online form filling started for Haj pilgrimage, know which documents will be needed


Haj 2023 Form News: Haj-2023 forms have become available online free of cost on the official website of the Haj Committee of India (HCOI) from Friday (February 10). Haj Committee member Ejaz Hussain said that Haj forms have been made available on the official website of Haj Committee of India. Haj (Haj 2023) applications can be submitted till 10 March 2023.

The official website of the Haj Committee of India states that the applicant filling the Haj application form should have a valid Indian International Passport issued on or before 10/03/2023 and valid at least till 03/02/2024 .

Keep these things in mind while filling the Haj form

Applicants should have dose of approved Kovid-19 vaccine. Applicant has to upload first and last page of passport, latest passport photograph with white background, copy of canceled check on cover head and copy of address proof. The last date for submission of Haj application form is 10 March 2023.

the forms are absolutely free

Ejaz Hussain said that the forms already announced by the Haj Committee of India under the Haj Policy 2023 are absolutely free. Ejaz said that all steps will be taken to provide possible relief to the Haj pilgrims performing Haj 2023. He said that under the Haj Policy 2023, 25 points will be set up across the country for all kinds of facilities for the Haj pilgrims.

VIP quota abolished

This year, as per the bilateral agreement between Government of India and Government of Saudi Arabia, more than 1,75,000 pilgrims will perform the holy pilgrimage of Haj 2023. Significantly, the Haj Committee of India has already abolished the VIP quota under which 5 to 10 persons were allowed to perform Haj. There is no such quota this year.

Who will be given priority?

Ejaz reiterated that this year priority will be given to Haj pilgrims above 70 years of age. He said that the Haj Committee of India is taking all possible steps to make Haj 2023 affordable, in which all possible better facilities are available for the pilgrims going to both the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
