Question on Relationship Between Brother and Sister: A university in Pakistan has come to the fore for asking students their views on ‘sex between brother and sister’. This matter has now caught fire and a dispute has arisen in the neighboring country. Several celebrities and student bodies criticized the question paper of Islamabad-based COMSATS University, terming it as ‘obscene’. At the same time, while sharing screenshots of the question paper on social media platforms, many people have demanded an inquiry from the Vice-Chancellor of the university on this matter.
Students were given a paragraph in a question paper that contained a conversation between a character named Julie and Mark. The students had to write an essay reading that paragraph. This paper was given to the students of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) in December last year.
What was the question on which there is ruckus
The paper had a paragraph related to siblings which read as follows – “Julie and Mark are brother and sister. They are traveling together in France during their summer break from college. One night he was alone in a cabin near the beach. They decided it would be interesting if they made a connection. It will be a new experience for both of them.”
Many questions were asked from the students on this para. Students were asked their thoughts about the whole scenario and whether it was okay for Julie and Mark to be “in love”.
