Pakistan Ex-Army Chief: Former Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Friday (February 10) that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party-led government is a threat to the country. According to a Pakistan Today report, he claimed that if his leader Imran Khan had remained the prime minister, there would have been no Pakistan as the country would have been ruined.
During a discussion with Javed Chaudhary, a journalist with ties to the Pakistan government, Bajwa alleged that during the cabinet meeting, Imran Khan had used obscene Punjabi words, referring to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Former Pakistan Army Chief Bajwa said that obscene words were used by a minister under Imran Khan in front of the Saudi ambassador in Islamabad. However, the former army chief did not reveal the identity of the minister. This was Bajwa’s second meeting with Javed Chowdhary in a month. Journalist Javed Chowdhary said that he had asked Bajwa whether he had stopped Imran Khan from resigning from the National Assembly after his ouster in April last year, to which he replied in the affirmative. According to Chaudhary, Bajwa told Imran Khan that Prime Minister! You have lost only one match, the series is still left in which you have to compete.

According to former Army Chief Bajwa, he told Imran Khan that there was only a marginal difference of two votes between the PTI party and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Parliament. Citing the example of Khaleda Zia in Bangladesh, he Imran Khan advised not to resign from the National Assembly, whose political party suffered a lot after taking a similar decision. The retired general stressed the importance of staying in Parliament and the possibility of forming a government again in the future. Despite receiving this message, Imran Khan did not respond and communication broke down.
