French Brand Bonus: France’s luxury design company Hermes has announced that each of its employees will get a bonus of 4,000 euros (Rs 3,52,024) at the end of this month. Paris-based Hermes design firm is famous for creating leather goods, fashion accessories, home decor, jewellery, watches, ready-to-wear and lifestyle products.
The main reason for giving good bonus to the employees is that the company had a very good profit in 2022 last year. According to the French news media Le Monde, in 2022, the salary of employees based in France was increased by 6 percent. At the same time, in January of the year 2022, an increase of 100-euro (about ₹ 9,000) was also made.
Sales up 23 percent
The CEO of Hermes said on Friday (February 17) that sales in the fourth quarter grew by 23 per cent year-on-year. Full-year revenue rose 29 percent last year to €11.6 billion (10 trillion), helping the leather goods maker reclaim its position as the third-largest luxury fashion brand behind Louis Vuitton and Chanel. got help.
Hermes CEO Axel Dumas said during the presentation of the group’s annual results that the 12,400 Hermes employees in France received the equivalent of 17 months’ salary annually, including profits and incentive bonuses. The CEO said that this bonus payment is a part of the value sharing policy and it was equal to the profit paid to the shareholders.

Last year, the Hermes Group added 2,100 employees to its global workforce. The news report further states that the bonus comes after profits in 2022. Last year, the Hermes brand, known for its hand-sewn handbags, generated sales of 11.6 billion euros, up 23 per cent from 2021.
