Big blow to AAP before Karnataka assembly elections, former IPS Bhaskar Rao joins BJP

AAP leader Bhaskar Rao joins BJP today: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections. Former Bangalore commissioner and AAP leader Bhaskar Rao has left the party and joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Rao has joined BJP for some time now.

Bhaskar Rao had joined the Aam Aadmi Party about 11 months ago. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal himself got him the membership of the party. AAP had termed Bhaskar’s joining the party as a big deal before the Karnataka elections. The party had also assigned big responsibilities to Bhaskar. The party made him the chairman of the election manifesto committee. On the other hand, leaving the party before the election of Bhaskar is showing a big loss for the Aam Aadmi Party. Actually, the AAP party is contesting the assembly elections in Karnataka for the first time.
