Fighter Jet Tejas: In the last few years, the whole world has realized the power of the Indian Army. India has achieved many achievements under the Make in India program and in this sequence, now other countries will also see the power of Indian Air Force fighter jet Tejas made in the country. In fact, India’s Tejas aircraft has reached the United Arab Emirates for the first time to participate in an exercise in another country.
According to the news agency PTI, Tejas has landed on UAE land on Saturday for its first foreign maneuvers. 5 indigenous Tejas have arrived from India to participate in the Desert Flag Exercise. An Air Force contingent with 110 personnel has arrived at Al Dafra Air Force Base in UAE to participate in the ‘Desert Flag’ exercise. The Air Force is partnering with five Tejas and two C-17 Globemaster-3 aircraft.
International Air Force will take part in exercise for the first time
On this matter, an official said, ‘This is the first time that LCA Tejas will take part in an international air force exercise outside India.’ Exercise ‘Desert Flag’ is a multilateral air force exercise, in which air forces of UAE, France, Kuwait, Australia, UK, Bahrain, Morocco, Spain, South Korea and US are also participating. This exercise is scheduled to be held from 27 February to 17 March.
The aim of the exercise is to learn the best practices of different air forces, the official said. Tejas is made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. It is a single engine aircraft. While the Tejas LCA fighter jet has been a part of several air shows, it has never taken part in any such exercise. An Indian Air Force official has said that this is the first time that Tejas is going to be a part of an international air exercise outside India.
