Most of the oil prices recorded a decline
A decline in the prices of most of the oilseeds is being recorded in the Delhi oilseeds market. The prices of indigenous oils are not able to stand in front of the oils coming from abroad. Under compulsion, farmers and businessmen have to reduce the prices of indigenous oils. As a result of this, a decrease has been recorded in the prices of mustard, soybean oil, oilseeds and cottonseed oil.
8.25 lakh mustard bags arrived
The arrival of mustard is continuously increasing in the mandis of the country. On this Saturday, 8.25 lakh mustard bags have arrived in the mandis of the country. Mustard was sold at Rs 4500 per quintal in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. This is much less than Rs 5000 per quintal MSP. Farmers are in a bad condition regarding the sale of mustard. What steps should be taken to increase the price of mustard? Farmers are not able to think of a solution.
Cottonseed oil price decreased by Rs 100 per quintal
The condition of soyabean and cottonseed oil has also worsened. In other states including Gujarat, cottonseed oil was sold at a rate of two to three rupees more per kg. But this time a reduction of Rs. 1 per kg i.e. Rs. 100 per quintal has been recorded in its price. Its effect is being seen in the retail market. The common man is buying oil at cheap rates.
Why this condition of oil prices happened
Traders are demanding removal of duty-free import policy for foreign oils. Actually, no duty is being imposed on the oils coming from abroad. For this reason oil coming from abroad is being sold at very cheap prices. At the same time, due to the high cost of domestic oil, it has become a bit expensive. Due to foreign oil being cheap and domestic being expensive, people are holding on to foreign oil more. Due to not getting buyers, people are also forced to reduce the prices of domestic oil.
