Greece: The death toll in the horrific accident between two trains outside the city of Larissa in Greece has increased from 26 to 32. There is news of 85 people injured in this accident. According to the information received, the condition of many of the injured remains critical. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. It is being speculated that the death toll may increase further.
If media reports are to be believed then the accident happened late at night. What is the reason for the accident, it is not clear at the moment. Relief and rescue work is still going on at the incident site. Regarding the horrific accident, the governor of Thessaly region of Greece said that a passenger train was going from Athens to the northern city of Thessaloniki, while another goods train was coming from Thessaloniki to Larissa. Both these trains collided outside the city of Larissa.
