CBI Statement On Sisodia Arrested: Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI on Sunday (February 26) evening in connection with Delhi’s alleged liquor scam. Before arresting Sisodia, there was a long interrogation of about 8 hours. According to the information, many questions were asked to him during the interrogation. He was arrested for not answering the questions correctly.

The CBI will now present Sisodia in the court on Monday (February 27). According to media reports, the CBI has arrested Sisodia on charges of destroying evidence. After arresting Sisodia, the CBI has also issued a statement. The CBI said, “Sisodia was not cooperating in the investigation, hence he has been arrested.”

Allegations of scam in new liquor policy

The CBI has said in its statement, “A case was registered against Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 14 others in connection with irregularities in the excise policy made for the year 2021-22.” The CBI said, “Charge sheet has been filed against the then CEO of a private company in Mumbai and 06 others on 25 December 2022. Further investigation is underway.”

Reason for Sisodia’s arrest

The CBI said, “Sisodia was given a notice to join the investigation on February 19, 2023. He sought a week’s time citing his busy schedule. Accepting his demand, he was asked to join the investigation on February 26.” The notice was given. Today i.e. Sunday (February 26), the same questions were repeated to him which he did not answer during the interrogation on October 17, 22.”

Manish was not answering the questions

The CBI says that Sisodia once again tried to avoid answering the questions. The CBI said, “He was not only hiding information, but was also trying to mislead the team. After that he was arrested.” The CBI says that during the investigation such evidence was collected which proved his involvement. Sisodia could not answer the questions related to this.

Kejriwal said – it is dirty politics

According to the information, Sisodia’s medical examination will be done on Monday (February 27) morning. After this he will be produced in the court. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party has opposed the arrest of Sisodia. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. There is a lot of anger among people due to Manish’s arrest. People are watching everything. People are understanding everything. People will respond to this. Our spirits will increase further. Our struggle will become stronger.”
