India G20 Presidency: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) addressed the first meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors through video on Friday (February 24). He said that India is representing the leadership of global finance and economy at a time when the world is facing severe economic difficulties.

PM Modi said that only by making an inclusive agenda, the global economic leadership will be able to win back the trust of the world. Indian consumers and manufacturers are confident about the future. He said that India would be able to spread the positive spirit to the global economy. He has appealed that the weakest citizens of the world should be discussed in this meeting.

PM Modi spoke on digital payment system

Speaking about the digital payment system, PM Modi said, “Over the years, we have built a highly secure, reliable and efficient public digital infrastructure. Our digital payment ecosystem has transformed governance, financial inclusion and ease of living.” He said that during India’s G20 Presidency, a new fintech platform has been created that allows our global G20 guests to use India’s digital payments platform UPI.
