ISRO Aditya L1 Mission: The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) on Thursday (January 26) handed over the ‘Visible Emission Line Coronagraph’ (VELC) to ISRO, which will be sent to space by the country’s first special scientific mission ‘Aditya L1’ to study the Sun. Will be sent in This is the largest device sent via Aditya L1. Aditya L1 mission is proposed in June or July.
VELC was formally handed over to ISRO Chairman S Somnath at the Center for Research in Science and Technology (CREST) campus of the IIA on Thursday. IIA said that it has successfully completed the investigation of VELC. It said in a statement that ISRO will carry out further investigation of VELC and it will be integrated with the Aditya L1 spacecraft.

Congratulating the VELC team, Somnath said that Aditya L-1 is expected to be launched in June or July. “Understanding the Sun’s influence on and around Earth is now very important, and Aditya L1 aims to shed light on this topic,” he said.
Aditya L1 is India’s first space mission to study the Sun from an orbit near the ‘Lagrangian Point 1’ of the Sun-Earth system.
