Balochistan Gas Leak: At least 16 people, including children, have died in gas leak incidents in Quetta city of Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province in the past one week. The local police gave this information on Thursday. Police said that gas had leaked on Tuesday as well. During that time 4 people were killed. The cause of death was a gas heater, people died when they fell asleep after turning it on.
Four children of a family were killed after a gas leak exploded inside their mud-walled house in Quetta’s Killi Bade Jai area on Wednesday (January 25), police said. Two women were also injured in this incident.

Another incident is from another area of Quetta, where a police sub-inspector died due to gas filling the room. A senior police official confirmed that several cases have been reported on a daily basis since last week, in which more than a dozen people died and dozens fainted due to gas leakage in their homes.
