Jammu and Kashmir: The Indian Army on Friday fainted a 19-year-old girl in a remote village of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, but after a struggle, the army took the girl out. “A 19-year-old girl, Praveena Bano, from Kurali village of Boniyar tehsil in Uri sector was emergency evacuated and admitted to the Primary Health Center by Indian Army’s Chinar Corps personnel on Friday morning,” an army official said.

In fact, the Indian Army received an emergency call in the early hours of Friday from a resident of Sumwali village. The officer said that the man demanded to take out his daughter, the girl had gone to her relatives’ house in Kurali village where she fainted. These days there is heavy snowfall in Baramulla, due to which the life of the people is disturbed.

The troops responded swiftly to the call and provided immediate medical help, the official said. An army contingent sent a vehicle to evacuate the girl to Boniyar Health Center. The officer said that the villagers praised the army personnel and praised their helpful and humanitarian initiative.
