Under the Indus Water Treaty 1960, it was decided to give the water of Sutlej, Beas and Ravi river to India and the water of Indus, Jhelum and Chenab to Pakistan. After a long struggle of 9 years, both the countries had agreed to do this treaty. In this treaty, the Vice President of the Bank, William Iliff, also signed on behalf of the World Bank.
