Stock Market Closing On 30th January 2023: After the fall of last week, the first trading session of the new week has been excellent for the Indian stock market. The Indian stock market has closed with a strong momentum due to the return of buying in banking stocks after the initial upheaval. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 59,500 with a jump of 170 points and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 17,658 points with a jump of 45 points.

In today’s trading session, there was buying in IT and banking sector stocks while profit booking was seen in Pharma, FMCG, Metals, Energy and Oil & Gas sector stocks. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 closed with gains while 12 closed with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 29 stocks closed with gains while 21 stocks closed with losses.
