1800 crore rupees have been approved from the railway budget for the sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express. In the next two years, 400 trains of this version will be put on track on different routes of the country. According to the Railways, many companies including ICF have shown interest in making these trains. According to the news of IANS, out of 400 trains, the first 200 will be chair car trains and the rest will be sleeper versions. It has also been told that the chair car trains will be designed to run at a maximum speed of 180 kmph and will run at 130 kmph for commercial purposes.

The maximum speed of sleeper version trains will be 220 km per hour.

The remaining 200 trains, which will be in the sleeper version, will be designed to run at a maximum speed of 220 kmph and a commercial speed of 200 kmph. According to the information, in the next two years all 400 trains will be ready to run on the tracks of different railway routes of the country.

These trains will replace Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains

In fact, the chair car version of the Vande Bharat trains will gradually replace the Shatabdi Express trains and the sleeper version of the train will replace the Rajdhani Express trains. According to the railways, the coaches of the sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express will be made of aluminum and it will be designed to run at a maximum speed of 220 kilometers per hour. However, for the journey, this sleeper train will run at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

According to the information, Vande Bharat trains will start in many states of South India by the end of this year. The new routes include Kachiguda in Telangana to Bengaluru in Karnataka and Secunderabad in Telangana to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and Pune in Maharashtra. Assembly elections in Karnataka and Telangana are likely to be held later this year. Till now eight Vande Bharat Express are running in the country. These are running on Nagpur-Bilaspur, Delhi-Varanasi, Delhi-Katra, Delhi-Una, Gandhinagar-Mumbai, Chennai-Mysore, Howrah-New Jalpaiguri and Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam routes.
