The temple got revenue of 351 crores
We are talking here about the temple of Lord Ayyappa located at Sabarimala in Kerala. A huge crowd of devotees is thronging this temple. It is known that lakhs of devotees have reached the 60-day Mandalam-Makaravilakku Festival, which started from November 2022 last year. This time the devotees have donated generously. Due to which the temple has earned a revenue of Rs 351 crore. Seeing the donation this time, it is being told that many previous records of donation have been broken.
Devotees arrived in large numbers after Corona
The 60-day Mandalam-Makaravilakku Festival is being celebrated openly after almost two years i.e. after the Corona pandemic. In which lakhs of devotees have reached. However, this donation cannot be considered final as of now, because the counting of coins in the temple has not been completed. The workers counting the coins are tired of counting. That’s why once he has been sent to rest. After a few days the counting will be started again.
Can’t count coins
According to media reports, Travancore Devaswom Board President K. Ananth Gopal says that it was not possible to count the coins with the note counting machine. That’s why the counting of coins will start again from 5 February 2023. Ayyappa temple also receives donations of crores of rupees in the form of coins. The temple management says that 600 employees will be given work to count the coins.
Uncountable money and land was revealed
Earlier, in response to an RTI, it was revealed that the famous Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple in Kerala has a deposit of Rs 1,737.04 crore (Rs 1737,04,90,961) in the bank. Also 271.05 acres of land is near the temple. The temple also reportedly has a huge collection of gold, silver and precious stones, which have been received as gifts from devotees. The temple management refused to disclose the details and price due to security reasons.
